The Company:

Our client is the leading global renewable energy and sustainability search firm. The learning and development arm of the business gives them a platform to support purpose-led professionals to develop key human skills that will make them effective change agents.

The Role:

Head of Learning and Development reports into the Performance Director and sits within the Performance Team which has strategic and operational responsibility for developing people, culture, and engagement to align with organisational goals.

This role supports the effective implementation of the business and operational objectives through people development, coordination and delivery of training, identification of team and individual learning requirements, and good management of performance.

Responsibilities include:


From onboarding to ongoing development support, the PDB is a key business partner across teams. The PDB will contribute to the development and maintenance of internal training content and programs which include recruitment theory and practice, advanced recruitment skills, management training and general non-technical upskilling. This will come in the form of both one-to-one coaching and group level support.

The PDM will identify and collaborate with external training partners for the provision of leadership, executive coaching, and non-recruitment training for operational team members.


You will partner with business leaders to understand individual and team performance expectations and continuously monitor and assess delivery and performance against these with a transparent and open dialogue, presenting opportunities for training interventions and development.

You will close the loop between wellbeing, engagement, motivation, development, and performance. This includes monitoring and sharing accountability for continuous development and progression towards team members’ development goals.


Wellbeing is an essential piece of the performance formula. The PDM will provide forums for discussion on good wellbeing practices and hold a level of accountability for escalating any wellbeing concerns.

Culture and engagement

You will provide training and direction on key policies and initiatives to drive culture and engagement. This aspect of the role includes communications, monitoring engagement, and a strategic vision.

Project management

When required, the PDM will manage, contribute to, and undertake company projects with a collaborative approach with relevant internal stakeholders.
