We are currently retained by a leading tech sales talent acquisition consultancy to identify a Client Development Director tasked with driving business development. Led by industry experts, our client has developed an excellent reputation centred around their data driven, informed approach to building world class commercial teams that help Founders, CCOs and CROs reach their commercial objectives. You will be joining a multi award winning business with strong support infrastructure – marketing, back office, a brilliant technical suite and an award winning training programme tailored to each individual. Offering multiple service lines, our client offers significant value to the start up community by providing strategic guidance tailored to the unique challenges of a SaaS company during their early stages of growth. Their value add includes workshops, roundtable events, a vast C-Suite network and understanding of the ingredients needed to create substantial sales teams across the globe.
The role:
- Develop and execute the company’s business development strategy, aligned with the overall organisational goals and objectives, with a specific focus on VC backed SaaS companies.
- Gain market share across North America as a primary focus
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, market research, lead generation activities, marketing events, roundtables and workshops across the globe.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with Founders, CCOs and CROs of target organisations and introduce proposition / talent solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the executive team to identify potential target markets, verticals, and areas of expansion.
- Negotiate preferential rates, agree terms and multi-hire arrangements with target organisations.
- Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitive intelligence, and potential areas for product or service differentiation.
- Develop and deliver persuasive sales presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients and partners.
- Work closely with the consultants who will deliver the roles you bring on.
- Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline, and sales performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to proactively identify business opportunities and potential risks.
To excel in this role you will have:
- Have a solid understanding and knowledge of the VC and SaaS Sales Landscape.
- Proven experience in a full desk or sales position within recruitment.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically, identify market opportunities, and develop effective business development strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Have a natural intellectual curiosity as well as a competitive nature.
- Have an entrepreneurial mind set.
